How to Connect a USB Barcode Scanner

Set up your USB barcode scanner to speed up the checkout process.

A USB barcode scanner is the fastest way to process sales and manage inventory on a PC or Mac.

Setup Instructions

  1. Plug the USB cable of your barcode scanner into an available USB port on your computer.
  2. Wait a few seconds for your operating system to recognize the device (it acts like a standard keyboard).
  3. Open the LuaPOS Point of Sale (POS) screen.
  4. Click anywhere on the screen (or specifically in the search bar) and scan a product barcode.
  5. The product will instantly be added to the cart!

No additional drivers or software are required.
